Education

KCM community development trust provides scholarships to 64 university students in the first year, with the number set to double in the second year and increase incrementally in subsequent years, enabling students to access tertiary education in mining-related fields.

KCM community development trust has provided financial support amounting to ZMW 350,000 towards the refurbishment of the Copperbelt University (CBU) library which will be renamed the KCM library.

KCM community development trust in partnership with the Arise in Purpose Women Network, is empowering youths in Nampundwe, Chingola, Chililabombwe, and Kitwe through a skills and mentorship programme that promotes self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

We Provide Early Learning, Nutrition and Day Care

Chingola and Chilabombwe centres.

KCM provides early learning, nutrition and day care support to 320 children each year at 2 modern centers located at market places in Chingola and Chililabombwe, namely Ndeleni and Nsungeni Centers.

KCM, in partnership with Inner Sight Vision, is addressing menstrual poverty through outreach in Nampundwe and plans to scale across all operational areas. The initiative has trained youths in menstrual health and reusable pad production and distributed 2,500 sanitary pads to 500 girls.
