Our History
In October 2024, the company established and registered the KCM Community Development Trust with a Board of Trustees mandated to oversee the annual contribution of USD 20 million toward community development.
Needs Assessment
Following its establishment, the Trust commissioned an independent body to conduct a needs assessment within the host communities to identify priority development areas and key social and economic challenges.
Planning and Budget Development
The findings from the needs assessment informed the development of the Trust’s Social Plan and annual budget, outlining priority initiatives and programs aimed at addressing the identified community needs.
Implementation and Oversight
With the Social Plan in place, the Trust began implementing approved community development initiatives, while the Board of Trustees continues to oversee project execution, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainable impact within the communities.
Monitoring and Evaluation
The Board of Trustees continues to oversee and monitor the implementation of projects, evaluating their impact to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainable benefits for the host communities.
